ICT Barriers to South African Education

ICT barriers in South African Education

In the most of the South African schools the is no ICT history or technological infrastructure, more especially in the rural areas.that could be one of the barriers because the learners cannot learn something that needs to be done practically without having the thing present like when they are suppose to do same spreadsheet activities. So is more difficult for them to learn things concerning the technology or the ICT itself.

Teachers experience as one of the barriers plays an important role, meaning even if the school can have the computers available to them, then they will be useless.if the teacher does not have the an skill and knowledge in ICT,then is difficult to teach it to the learners. How could one teach what does not know or hasn't done it practically.if there is a shortage of such infrastructure in the schools.Learners do suffer a lot.

Crime is major Barrier in some schools some sponsors could support the school with the computers to improve the way of learning and ICT knowledge, but the people from the community steal those infrastructures.Even the internet cafes in our communities are installed but end up without even one mouse within two weeks.
